- After meeting on site and discussing criteria, I will contact you with a proposal
- If you accept the proposal, we can then schedule the work!
Why Wood Duck?
My goal is to provide quality, environmentally friendly tree and garden care, not to grow my company into a big corporation and take over the tree world. I work within 30 minutes of my home base, Hastings, MN. Every tree company servicing every corner of the metro creates redundancy, extra traffic, and costs clients money for travel time. I work with ropes, not expensive specialty equipment like lifts and bucket trucks, so I won’t suit everyone’s tree needs, but if your job aligns with my scope, I can offer you a better price than big companies because I don’t have to pay off a grapple saw.
I am fully insured and do all my work according to ANSI standards, which are the rules to which the tree care industry is held. I am an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist, licensed to apply pesticides in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and am registered with Minnesota’s Tree Care Registry.
About me
Hi! I’m Rachel. I spent 5 years at one of the big-dog tree companies in the metro and did landscape maintenance for years before that. As a foreman I cut trees via climbing, bucket, and crane, applied pesticides where necessary, and planted and maintained landscapes. At Wood Duck my scope is limited by equipment only, not knowledge and experience.
I spend most of my free time working in my own garden at home and hanging with my ducks. They’re not wood ducks, but they sure are cute!
